We also have continued to have a lot of rain. We think it’s the end of the rainy season. There seems to always be a big amount of rain right before the season finishes.
I’m sending some pictures of the students at lunch. There is now an upper and lower level to the dining room! Notice the nice tables and benches on the upper level. Our resident carpenter Paulino made them. What they are eating is maize, not corn.
The construction pictures are of the new dorm—almost finished and the next one just getting started. Those will be dormitories for the men. When we have more women the whole front block will be just for the women.
The classroom pictures are of the level two students doing group work in professional studies. They were looking at the stages of cognitive development and then looking in the primary books to see what kind of activities in the books fit for those levels. They gave their group reports on Friday and did an excellent job.
The last two pictures are of what I would call a cistern. It’s part underground and part above ground. We’ll use it for water harvesting.
We start exams on Thursday. There will be revising in the classes the first part of the week to help them with studying.
