We continue to have fairly good rains though not as much as some years have been during June. So many things here are dependent on the weather.
The pictures are of the Level 3 students on their way out of the compound to practice teach. The lesson plans and resources I’ve seen are good. The two observers are mostly positive about what they are seeing in the classrooms. The students haven’t gotten to teach as much as we had hoped because the school system had this back to school celebration which took the students out of school! Also they had to go practice for it.
There is picture of the man holding the bell. He caught a bird that flew into the classroom here. He asked me if he could take it to school for his living things lesson. Then it escaped from him and flew away. He came back to me to ask what else he could do. I suggested he ask if he could borrow a guinea pig. She said he could so the guinea pig went to school. He reported that even his supervising teacher at the school liked his lesson! I asked if he kept it in the box and he said he let it run around and the children loved it. They are willing to try many things. They have no worries about taking candles and starting fires—no worries about fire codes or law suits!
We are having a garage built so I got pictures of the two builders. They are actually general handy men. They are on our compound a lot.
