I’m sending some pictures of the Mass we attended yesterday. The girls are dancing in an Arabic style which is much different than the Zande style of dancing at Mass. We then went to have dinner at the St. Mary parish house with some of the other Brothers, Sisters and the priests connected to the cathedral parish—including the Bishop. We had to eat quickly because a storm was coming in. It hit full force right when we drove into our compound. It was a ferocious thunderstorm which is the kind we get here.
The other pictures I’m sending are of the students studying. The level 3 and 4 students had their semester exams early because they are going out on teacher practice. They were very dedicated to their studies. The pictures are mostly in the banana grove behind the classrooms. We used the two new dormitory rooms for exam halls. The walls to the dorms are drying so it was convenient to use them. So far we are hearing that they are mostly passing.
Please continue your good prayers for South Sudan. There are many things regarding the peace agreement that need to be ironed out to move toward lasting peace.
