We have a cashew tree by our centenary cross. Sr. Rosa brought it from Viet Nam. This is the first year it has borne fruit. The nut is below the yellow fruit. It is unusual in that the seed—the nut is outside the fruit. The fruit is somewhat tart. The nuts have to be processed correctly—some part of them is poisonous. I’m taking the five we got to Sr. Rosa to find out what to do with them so we can eat the cashews. Some of the students say they grow in their places but we have heard conflicting ways of processing so we’ll trust Rosa to tell us a safe way.
We went to the green beach Friday evening. It was a beautiful night. As you can see, the sunset was beautiful. We got to sit out on the deck that overlooks the lake. It’s a nice place to go on Friday evening!
Please continue to pray that the peace holds. There are many issues with implementing it.
